Objective: I am retired and seek a part-time position where my retail and customer service experience will contribute to the overall success of the company.

1999-April 2015-Retired. Bank of Louisiana. Manager, Marketing & Merchant Services: Core responsibilities; 1) Acquisition of Private Label retail & accounts receivables portfolios plus Visa & MasterCard Agent Bank Portfolios. I have called on and serviced each channel of retail distribution over the passed 40 years.

Was instrumental in introducing new allied payment products of 1) Gift Cards; and 2) check processing.

1995 – 1999: First Tennessee Bank: District Manager – Louisiana – Arkansas- Mississippi. Consulted with and solicited area banking centers for Agent banking relationships (3rd party outsourcing of Credit Card Issuing and Merchant Processing).

Reason for leaving: Division was dissolved.

1982-1995: Gibson Greetings Corporation. 109-year-old national publisher of Social Expression products such as greeting cards, gift-wrap, candles, etc. Channels of distribution included the national sales force with direct retail and wholesale reseller contact.

1990-1995: Regional Manager, Southeast. Maintained and expanded sales in key chain drug, supermarkets, mass merchandisers, and independent retailers in a 12 state region. Directed, coordinated, and supported 9 District Managers. Implemented a standardized budgeting, cash flow profitability analysis and sales training program for Gibson’s Distributor Division.

Reason for leaving: Company dissolved and sold to primary competitor, American Greetings.

1976-1982: Hallmark Cards Incorporated. A national publisher of Social Expression items; such as greeting cards, gift-wrap, candles, etc. assigned the development of a new territory. Volume grew from zero to $1,500,000. Supervised, hired and trained merchandising personnel from area.

Reason for leaving: Faster promotion and increased income.
