CVS HEALTH - CVS PHARMACY #16226 LOCATED IN TARGET - 5950 State Bridge Road, Duluth, GA 30097 - PHARMACY TECHNICIAN PT)
CVS HEALTH-CVS PHARMACY#4113 3095 Old Atlanta Road, Cumming, GA 30041- Certified Pharmacy Technician PT (worked FT hours) Supervisor: Pharmacy manager Clay Lewis, PharmD, MBA
• Completed ALL of CVS required onboarding LearnRX Training modules for onboarding, advanced technicians and advanced technicians II in CVS’ Learning Management System, Learn Rx, as a Pharmacy Technician initially, and by Dec 17th, 2022, a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
• Upon transfer to CVS #4113, I quickly completed all of my LearnRX new hire modules from before in 1 week then was brought to the floor for first time to learn production, register training for pickup and drop up, inventory – finding fast movers and slow movers and returning them to right spots using NDC numbers, the drive through window, finding all the old prescriptions not picked up over 14 days and returning them to stock, etc…
• HIGHLY adaptable as I worked at 6 different CVS pharmacies while picking up extra shifts to help out as per store needs.
• Production also used NDC numbers heavily on package code and strength and product segment of the NDC code (middle and last segments) to pick the correct drug for the script. I learned QP (the production setting of the software) and how to count the pills out in fives, take a picture for QV- pharmacist Verification
• During late January - Corporate announced a HUGE HOURS cuts for both pharmacists, pharmacy managers and technicians! Such horrible news during the tail end of the very busy covid new extended flu season! A huge example of change for the worse and how we each dealt with it - I can speak only for myself - I was and am still sadly part time (if full time I’d have been guaranteed 30 hours a week during these cuts). Instead as part time at cvs, I was guaranteed No minimum hours.
• I got one 1/2 shift (4 hours shift) on Sunday, almost every week. In February, it turned out to be 3 weeks not 4, due to what we were told to do as part timers - schedule ourselves at stores nearby who had any extra hours for us- I worked hard scheduling myself - I had scheduled a shift (7 hours) on the same Sunday as my token 4 hour home store shift - my home Store (4113) said I could work the longer shift and my manager himself would cover my shift meaning he’d take it for himself and I wouldn’t get to make it up another day in the month
• I scheduled myself one week a high of 43.64 hours, which in the face of adversary
(stores not willing to say yes or give out their hours!) is a huge thing to be proud of! a couple weeks 32+ hours, and some weeks around 29 and change from nothing that week, or 4 hours. Most often from nothing as I’d get last minute notice of my 4 hour shifts as well. I even asked front store cvs to work hours for them- for 3 stores including home store, who said he JUST hired up, so did 2279 Laurel springs but still accepted me as back up employee and gave me 2-3 shifts a month
• Stores called me same day if any call outs- to which I responded with a YES, definitely- I CAN COME IN, got ready in record time and was there in 20-30 mins from initial text for more than one cvs pharmacy and front store (4-5 times occurrence in Feb and 2 so far in March - March 2nd as I write this update). I have accountability and reliability/punctuality
• I may say, since my parents were driving me to shifts and stores, the amount of stores I could go to near me was limited to 3. If I drove myself I would have driven much further to help out stores but it soon becomes something of diminishing pay once gas costs are high as well to get these shifts.
• I provide excellent customer service as my prior jobs helped me hone not only customer excellence skills but also active listening, De-escalation, communication skills, proactive problem solving, critical thinking, and empathizing with a customer.
• Worked the drive-thru window often due to my customer service, smoothly helping each customer with their pickups and drop offs
• Worked in production when I could to help out the team, running back inventory already used for Rx’s and pulling inventory for production as well.
• Worked the main register (pick up) in the store helping customers with my excellent service very similarly to the drive through window.
• Stocked bins with new scripts for customers to pick up, stocked the fridge with appropriate scripts needing storage between 2-8 degrees Celsius refrigeration.
• Added new insurance cards to patients profiles so they could be update to date on their coverage for their medications
• Added new patient profile for a child who was in need of antibiotics medication quickly
• Learning most of what I needed to know only when put on the spot by the patient to get things right and done quickly as everyone wants their meds done and issues fixed in a timely manner as in asap! I understand well and can empathize very well due to my personal life experiences.
• Re-billed medication for patients as requested on Good rx and other discount cards for best pricing
• Gave exceptional customer service even if I couldn’t help them right away, I’d greet them right away and let them know I’d be with them very shortly!
• I am completing MTM studies and billing & reimbursement studies including prior authorization focus for nearly all my continuing education hours for maintaining my CPhT certification and working toward my goal of CPhT-Adv certification
• Working on Medication Therapy Management Services for both PharmCon and Power Park Training Modules.
• APhA or CA pharmacy association MTM april 8 program so I can take my PTCB advanced knowledge exam in MTM in late April/May.
• Developed the ability to Work independently in a collaborative environment if and when needed at CVS pharmacy

Blue Tech, Old Town San Diego Sales Support Team - Data Entry - August 2011 - Jan 2012
• Opened the office everyday due to working on east coast time 6:00 am to 2:30pm. I’d start the coffee, then start up MS excel and start with a brand new TR report for each day.
• I’d check my sales team files for items they’d like to place on the bid report to NASA, our main customer as we sold hardware and software logistics and security items to DoD, US gov defense agencies and NASA of course.
• Every morning I’d call NASA to speak to Mr. Alexander Marshall and confirm receipt of our TR report by 11-12 noon. Some days I started so early on it that by the time my coworker got in at 8:30 AM PST, it was finished and submitted with our managers approval.
• On these days he literally told her to just browse eBay as the work was done. I left a portion for her but upon my Managers check in. He always said to go ahead and finish the report asap. After my call to Mr. Alexander from NASA the report was submitted via email in seconds.
• The whole office should have maybe worked more on EST to remedy this. I don’t mind doing the work, my work ethic is superb, but now vs the first couple years of work, I know how to handle situations like these much better in a diplomatic way.
• Every afternoon I’d go around to each sales rep and ask them if they needed anything, any data or research typed up on products, anything for tomorrows TR report, and mainly used MS word and MS Excel in this job.
• Every September we made sales rep commission too, so we made $5,500 every September, it was a really great job and one of my favorites. I had to leave to move back to GA after the next job at IOI due to separation from my ex husband who had recently got out of the navy and had proceeded to leave CA for Texas all of a sudden I found myself not in someone’s life I thought I was, just with the 13 month lease two weeks into it.
• This was only the start of a very “experience” filled life, I shall say, as I did return to Cali soon after and to Los Angeles that time. I can empathize very easily with customers and do it with such sincerity.

INTEGRATED ORBITAL IMPLANTS – 11230 SORRENTO VALLEY RD, #135, SAN DIEGO, CA 92121 – Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist, Inventory Manager - Jan 2012 – May 2012 -858-***-****
• Performed Medical grade quality checks and quality duties as per specific business procedures and implemented a new process to effectively improve efficiency of physical inventory checks
• Inventory was very innovative – business owners were a pair of doctors who discovered how to make medical grade orbital implants from coral reefs. These were more realistic than ones on the market and apparently more comfortable.
• As the quality assurance specialist, I Inspected all new inventory by each box, as they came in boxes of 4 implants.
• I carefully used a magnifying glass to examine each implant for any defects, which would provide potential medical risks or bad issues for patients
• Assisted my office manager in any administrative duties needed as per her delegation
• I was In charge of assisting with A/R and calling all accounts receivable in attempts to collect payment –and I eventually took on Billing Specialist role as well and Quality and Inventory. My office manager and myself were the only two employees.
• Used MS Excel, MS Outlook, MA Word, Microsoft Office, and ACT! Sage accounting software on a daily basis for relevant data entry work – inventory checks, to Quality assurance write offs, etc
• Friday, May 18th, I found myself abandoned and due to personal reasons and just signing 13 month lease I had to leave my new job I was loving ($20/hour as well full- time). This was very much in the past now and because thing like these happened I am a stronger person for surviving through it and getting back up every time I fell to try again.
