1966 to 1968 Spencer Gifts, Dallas, TX Sales associate, promoted to Assistant Manager 1968 to 1969 JC Penney Company, Milwaukee, WI. Layout and design artist for all print advertising 1969 to 1972 Ed Bristol Advertising, Milwaukee, WI head layout artist and typesetter for all print advertising
1972 to 1976 Graebels Shoe Corporation, Milwaukee, WI Advertising Director . Created and purchased all advertising media: print, radio, television and on-site events. 1976 to 1983 Arizona Shoe Corporation, Phoenix, AZ. Advertising Director. Created and managed all media of advertising for 22 shoe stores located in Phoenix and Tucson. 1983 to present Started my own advertising and design studio. Handled all on-site promotional advertising for AMC Theatres in greater Phoenix. This grew into my own fine art business and I began creating and selling my artwork at art shows throughout the Western states. 1984 to 1987 Del Camino Equestrian Academy, Phoenix, AZ Taught riding lessons and trained performance horses for the show ring.
1987 to 2011 opened my own riding and training stable; Dahlara Performance, Phoenix, AZ. 2012 to Present Valley of the Sun Arabian Horse Assoc, Phoenix, AZ Joined the organization as a Board member to direct and manage equestrian events and clinics. Was voted to the office of President and remain in that position today. I oversee all finances and club activities including the Desert Classic Arabian Horse Show. I am the manager of this show being responsible for hiring all show officials,, planning and scheduling all classes and show activities, coordinating volunteers, reporting to Arabian and Equestrian governing bodies and all financial obligations.
2016 to Present Joined the Region 7 Arabian Horse Association as a Show Commissioner. This position requires discussing and determining show policy and operational decisions. Accepted request to manage and operate the entire 10 day Sport Horse Division of this show; hiring judges and other necessary personnel, managing and scheduling classes, overseeing all scoring personnel and requirements, submitting required paperwork in a timely manner, managing budgetary requirements and providing a friendly, professional and courteous experience for all exhibitors. 2011 to Present Sweet Things Catering, Phoenix, AZ. Head cashier for catering and event company. Responsible for customer relations, customer service, taking and completing orders, refunds, both cash and credit sales, and all front-line applications.
