A very dynamic degree that covered so many aspects, at the work place, that so often,we encounter. Organizational change, the fundamentals of human development theories, statistics and research, core values, Human Resources, interviewing tactics, public speaking and the value of diversity in teamwork. We learned to identify personalities in the workplace and the types that were synergetic. I learned a lot about myself and the difference between a good leader and a great leader. Humility. I have become mindful of the areas where I stand to improve. I am a firm believer if lifelong learning and bridging the generation gaps. We can all learn from each other. Authorized to work in the US for any employer

Work Experience

Corporate Customer Care at JCPenney Logistics

JCPenney - Lenexa, KS

October 2015 to December 2018

End of the line in maintaining loyal customers. We did returns, points of sales at stores, worked with third party billing, had access to GE, LG, Samsung, Haier and multiple furniture distribution systems to check progress and schedule deliveries. We were allowed to delegate proper reimbursement to customers for a win win outcome, my last six months I worked fraud investigations because I had a keen eye for discrepancies.

Intake Coordinator

Wyandot Behavioral Health Network - Kansas City, KS November 2013 to September 2015

I assisted doctors with initial triage and documented any notable changes or references patients shared with me relative to care plans and med therapy. I did prior authorizations for 17 doctors and interns with a 99.3% approval rate. I maintained patient information including insurance was current and up to date. I did FMLA paperwork sitting down with each family to address their specific needs, I did everything possible while the RN for children was on vacation and took days off. Ironically, I accomplished more in a day than she did in a week! I think she was tired and feeling burnout and overwhelmed. The adult coordinator begin having me sit in for organizational changes that were occurring and he entrusted me with a lot of responsibility in assisting him. I was so busy and I loved that job. Brownback did cuts in childrens mental health and I could not afford to take a third pay cut. Education

Certifications and Licenses

Certified Medication Technician

April 1996 to Present

This was a course to learn medications for various diagnosis’. We had to learn indication and interaction and methods of identifying med, patient, dosage, route and proper time and method to administer meds. In addition, we had to document every medicine given or not given and why. Every two years we had to do the hours to keep our certifications current Additional Information

Prior to passing meds, I worked as a nursing assistant doing activities of daily living, vital signs, hygiene and reporting changes to the RN in charge. I helped pioneer assisted living and as med techs, we were lead staff. I have worked in every environment from acute care, to memory care to end of life comfort measures. I utilized the marketplace and was so grateful for the reps who took time to cater a plan based solely on an abstract picture of what my healthcare needs consisted of. When they changed, I only needed to call to ensure the knowledgeable reps would accommodate any changes with a more appropriate fit until together we got a plan that was perfect! Appears to be something I would enjoy doing. I love to research and I love to problem solve for uncertain people. I believe I would be exceptional at this position. A great listener, I understand the criticality of a good care plan, and would do my very best to offer choices and allow customers the opportunity to participate in deciding what is best for their particular needs.

In addition, my background in healthcare has given me knowledge of medications and indications and many interactions. Along with this, I am aware of side effects that have been proven to be typical and what atypical symptoms that need addressed immediately. I am familiar with spin downs, the various government subsidized waivers, money follows the person and community resources to benefit those facing economic hardships or simply need a support group or a specific society, for example the COPD of greater Kansas City, just as an example.
