Education

• AAS degree in Operating Room Technology from Nassau Community College, Garden City, NY

• Work towards BS degree from NYU, State University of New York, Oneonta, NY, San Francisco State University, SF, CA.

Clinical

• Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, San Francisco, CA (1981-2000) o Cardio-Vascular Technologist Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (10+ yrs)

Duties include:

• Scrub, circulate, monitor all diagnostic, interventional studies.

• Scrub, circulate, monitor all EP/Pacemaker studies.

• Manage all monitor/computer systems (Hemo) including customization development.

• Manage/QA all film/digital imaging systems.

• BCLS/ACLS certified instructor

• Operate/train personnel IABP/IVUS.

• PACS system interaction for image/data archiving.

• Train all new employees for all computer/monitoring systems. o Certified Operating Room Technologist (2+ yrs)

Duties include:

Scrub/Circulate all cardio-vascular and thoracic surgical procedures

Maintain video and computer systems for data archiving. o Cardio-Vascular Anesthesia Technologist (10+ yrs)

Set-up, assist and maintain all Anesthesia equipment and assist all procedures including:

• Intra-operative trans-esophageal echocardiograms.

• Training for all internal and external customers on the complete Heartlab/Agfa suite for interface products including: o Inbound data collection for all echo, NIV, Peds, and catheterization exams.

o Agfa supported web accessible imaging and report retrieval o Outbound interfacing for billing, EMR, web portal image/report accessibility

• Manage the Clinical Applications group 2001-2005 (up to 14 employees)

o Product Development

Gather requirements for initial development of Non-Invasive vascular reporting package.

Develop content for enhancements to existing echo, cath, and vascular products.

Work as clinical interpreter for engineering to help define clinical requirements.

Help engineering define and develop tools for user-friendly interaction with an Oracle database.

o Project Management

Directly interact with customer base to accurately determine project scope, implementation and support for large scale enterprise projects to deliver PAC archive systems, web based interfaces and inbound/outbound interfaces for complete data management for CIS (Cardio-vascular Information Systems)

Help upgrade and modify hardware/software based on customer feedback.

In depth knowledge of hospital clinical workflow scenarios from small clinic settings to multiple facility WAN’s.

Skill Sets

• Knowledge of database structure and function (Oracle). Ability to interact on a less than advance level with the data and database.

• Ability to work and understand html/asp/xml in the clinical/database environment.

• Ability to interact and use many software packages including: o Ability to work with and understand DICOM/HL7
