Homemaker/Disability Home
I broke my back early on and my wife and I were having a baby so it only seemed natural that I take on the duties of raising our daughter while my wife pursued a career in education. I had to go on disability, but it was the best years of my life. Raising that little girl taught me a lot about life, and mostly about love. I will never regret it, but now that she is grown I am ready to enter the workforce once again.
2003 - 2005
Director The Boys and Girls Club
I started off as the Program Director for the Boys and Girls Club and I absolutely loved it. I was in charge of implementing the many clubs within the club as well as your basic general daycare. After a year I was promoted to the Director’s position, I believe because of my hard work and dedication. There wasn’t a day go by when I didn’t truly look forward to going to my job, My duties included overseeing the programs and making sure they were running properly, keeping track of the membership, handling parent comments and complaints, scheduling, working with the community on a regular basis, and that’s just to name a few. I had to leave the job because of my back, but there’s no doubt I’d still be there otherwise!
2001 - 2002
Loss Prevention/Customer Service Ford Motor Credit
At Ford Motor Credit my job was two-fold. I had to work with customers to bring their accounts current in order to avoid repossession and I had to unfortunately repossess cars. My favorite part of the job was, however, finding ways to keep customers in their vehicles. That took a lot of work on their part but on mine as well.
