Provide 3D Designer support services to assigned Engineering Teams. Designer support services include engineering analysis, 3D Modeling using Plant Design System (PDS) software, design development, and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Piping; layouts: Site Layout and Vendor Document Reviews. Apply reverse engineering concepts to established drawings. Layout detail piping to pressure vessels, pumps, and skid mounted equipment. Evaluate and design considering process flow, thermal expansion, supports, vibration, and fabrication. Detail drawings of pipe supports and bill of materials for pipe supports.

•Field: Field measure existing equipment and piping for modifications. Design piping and new equipment installations to fit for quick turnaround installations in existing facilities.

•Design: Draft piping spool drawings in sufficient detail for fabrication. Create isometric sketches for field repairs, pipeline routings. Create material take-offs from piping drawings.

•Diversified: Work with process, mechanical, and other discipline engineers to create and draft PFD’s and P&ID’s. Propose and draft equipment locations and facilities layout and primary flow piping systems. Make contributions and recommendations as related to best trade practices and standards.

•AS-built: Generate as-built drawings of existing facilities. Perform field walk-down, pre-job walks and field change requests.

•Technical abilities: Utilize Intergraph PDS, MicroStation, SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, Revit

Support the development, coordination and maintenance of contractor BIM/Navisworks Manage models.

Coordinate with PPU Construction Manager, Project Manager(s), BIM Manager, Engineer(s), Designers, to ensure discipline envelope guidelines are followed.
