Operations Manager May 2009 to Present

Supported CFO with renovation project by attending weekly contractor meetings and doing what was necessary to move the project along (i.e. communicating with utility companies, site supervisor, and architect).

Coordinated a large-scale agency move of 11 departments/programs to a larger, renovated building.

By request of the CEO, established and co-lead a team of staff partners, now known as the RSC Green Team, to enhance the facility’s recycling program, using a $3K grant approved from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District.

Facilitated “Green Team” projects, including reduction of the use of plastic bottles, enhancing the external environment by organizing & participating in tree and flower planting projects, and educating the staff on the importance of environmental sustainability through an Earth Day Fair.

Instrumental in building a contractual process for allowing outside organizations to use the facility for meetings and events. To date 41 organizations have contracted for use of meeting space, many of whom have come back repeatedly.

Managed contracts for external organizations, arranging times for tours, organizing security, media needs, collecting necessary fees, scheduling and setting up rooms and communicating with internal staff, including the Central Kitchen for catering requests; providing a calendar of events to the facilities team to ensure efficiency of daily events and building operations.

Created an Audio/Visual equipment reservation process and set up manual for efficient and seamless preparation of meeting & events for both internal staff and external users.

Supervised a man with a hearing disability, working in partnership with a job coach and county support staff to ensure necessary accommodations were met.

Operations Manager (Cont.) May 2009 to Present

Supervised five Work Experience Program (WEP) “participants” in cooperation with Men’s Shelter -- Maintaining schedules, ensuring security of the parking lot, creating a checklist to complete for facility needs, arranging for training as needed, evaluating work done and collecting signed timesheets for payroll purposes.

Instrumental in creating a protocol for preventing bed bug infestations, in collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health and local experts in the industry.

As a Health, Safety, Security and Facility committee member I was commissioned to oversee the safety and security of the facility by maintaining the integrity of the Crisis Response Team (CRT), acting as one of ten safety zone leaders; educating new staff on safety and security measures; supervising the contracted armed security guard, and regularly communicating with staff by writing and sending out Building & Parking Updates.
