7/17- Present University of Pennsylvania – Senior Clinical Engineering Coordinator – Dispatch tickets and work orders to bio-medical technicians; Update TMS system work orders; Manages and monitors queue daily; Schedules technicians site visits; Reconcile complaints from end users regarding equipment and malfunction issues; Order supplies, equipment, sends operating room instruments out for repair, enters and retire asset data into TMS, reconcile INR reports, train new hires and assist with onboarding forms, answers customers’ questions related to ticket status via email, incoming calls, walk ins and other duties as assigned.
2/04 – 7/17 University of Pennsylvania – Admin. Assistant – From various positions, I began as a Patient Service Rep in the Trauma Department, then promoted to a Department Secretary, Senior Secretary and now an Administrative Assistant for Trauma. Currently, I am responsible for the daily billing process of mailing out claims and printing patient discharge summaries and operative reports to various insurance companies. Batching and charge entry (Trauma, Emergency Surgery, inpatient and ER visits) into the EPIC system, clearing work queues in EPIC. Process charge review/charge edits, monitors self-pay reports for reconciliation, attends monthly Revenue Cycle Resource meetings and share different techniques, rules and regulations with the department. I’ve supported various people, Business Administrator and several physicians, including the Section Chief for Surgical Critical Care with calendar, travel arrangements, coordinate meetings and credentialing application. Coordinates and prepares schedules via Knowledge Link for the offsite Advance Trauma Course for Nurses. Process check requests for travel via the Accounts Payable Department, annual dues, books and supplies, schedules patient outpatient appointments and registration in EPIC, schedule meetings, makes inbound/outbound calls to insurance companies to follow-up on outstanding MVA and WC claims and patients and care providers. 5/02 - 2/04 University Of Pennsylvania Medical Center-Patient Service Rep - Responsible for checking patients in and out for their OB/GYN care, setting appointments, x-rays as requested by physician, complete batching and data entry process for billing to insurance carriers, verify insurance info, update all demographic info while registering the patients, collect monies, answers telephone, relay messages, greet patients, ensure that all patient chart are complete.
