Senior Project Manager

Managed a $4 million dollar per year project portfolio, managing 25 IT professionals in a matrixed environment. After being dropped into a very challenging situation, quickly brought budgets, scope, and expectation in line while fostering a vision of cooperation and mutual success. Piloted a new hybrid, agile methodology in a historically waterfall environment, resulting in a streamlined team that could deliver faster, cheaper, with better quality and customer service to the business, and a better ROI.
Successes Include:
Called on to pick up several stalled projects in a red state, driving those projects successfully to green and then to a successful, on-time delivery.
Mended strained relationships between IT and the business, enhancing department and organizational reputation, allowing both teams to function more efficiently and productively through effective relationship building skills.
Reenergized delivery focus and stood up an agile line, implementing change alongside a new iteration manager.
Exceeded forecasting requirements and variance allowances by analyzing variances and comparing weekly expected run rates to the actual utilization of resources. Derived the monthly budget from shaping the annual budget to the forecasting requirements, smoothing the scheduling expenditures to actual resources capacity.
Creating strategic project plans from inception through completion while supporting a major IT System with many interrelated applications, bringing task focus and clarity to the project team better than ever before.
