Florence state prison- Central Unit. From field training to approximately six months, the unit was a mixture of maximum and closed custody. Before shift, gather proper personal equipment such as steel toe boots, hard hat, hair net, safety glasses, gloves, and mask, hearing protection plugs and radio. Following GMPs, FDA Food Grade and USP products guidelines. Generating paperwork and new products in response to a given brief. Maintain high quality and production rates on all packaging equipment. Effectively operates forklift, load/unload trucks, bulk trucks and rail containers. Performing minor installation of new packaging equipment, modifications to existing systems and performing general maintenance tasks. Inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing all packaging equipment as required related to both electrical and mechanical devices. Determine types of parts and materials SAP, inventory, consumables required and obtain the same from the warehouse supply area. Working in different stations at resolution, soil sampling, water treatment, first aid-MSHA, underground Cementation and, GEO rock testing. Inside Labs: water samples - INF, EFF, Composite, SedBasin: 9 shaft, 8 shaft and Ditch water. Test performed; Conductivity, pH, turbidity, calcium, lime demand testing and Test America sampling. Outside Labs: Lime slurry density( Marcy scale 2.2), Soda Ash (Specific gravity scale), Sludge density ( Marcy scale 2.7 ), One hour settling test, blanket test ( sludge gun ). Daily inspections on the polymer system and clean polymer strainer screen as needed. Calibrate inside instruments: pH, conductivity and turbidity. Calibrate pH probe on Reactor B and pump house. 2 hour log-in on the S-Drive and update lab round sheets on the S-Drive Send out the NMID fax, Collecting data and recording on log book, Collecting information from the potable water meter ( total gallons and gpms ) Duck runs and turning on propane cannons, Filter backwashes, Wasting to SSI Ponds based on sludge density test (23% - 25%) Housekeeping control room and plant.
