August 2016 – March 2020 - Position: Coordinator II, Sanitation Services (Contract Work Through CornerStone Staffing in Dallas)
Duties/Responsibilities: Performed the task of project manager/contract compliance administrator, working with over 103 franchisees. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Daily usage of MS Office Software. Carefully screened waste haulers applying for a franchise ordinance, if they haul waste within the Dallas city limits. Daily researched the Secretary of State’s records, Dallas County Tax Office and the State Comptroller’s Office regarding new franchise applicants, to ensure their business practices were in good standing. Regularly updated departmental master lists of vendors on the “W” drive to accommodate Manager’s daily needs. Worked closely with Manager and Auditor to ensure Franchise applications were accurate for City Council approval. Worked closely with Franchisees to ensure their Certificate of Liability Insurance were compliant. Regularly monitored Monthly Franchise Reports, checking for accuracy, and making sure no fees were owed to the City of Dallas. Also, checked to see if the department owed a credit to vendors who sent in over-payments for their franchise fees. Audited annual reports to make sure we had checks and balances in place.
