• As a Occupational Health Claims Processing Specialist, I was responsible for the intake and processing of all injury claims submitted in the employee compensation web portal. I received the initial notification of the claim from the injured employee or the supervisor. Worked closely with the supervisor on how to pay the employee, what forms to provide and where to send the employee for medical treatment if necessary. I also assisted with finding Modified Limit Duty work for their employees when appropriate. The goal was to return the injured employee back to work in a Full Duty capacity as soon as possible. I also reviewed the newly submitted claims to determine if the claim should be challenged and/or controverted based on managements comments, details of the accident and the medical documentation provided. I assured the OSHA recordability was accurately reflected for Safety reporting purposes. I processed all CA-7's
(Claim for Compensation) for employees who are requesting compensation from OWCP for time-loss from work. I communicated daily with the injured employees to assist them with the claim process as well as answer any questions they may have. Also communicated with the US Dept of Labor to discuss new and established injury claims on a daily basis.

I was responsible for assisting with the Atlanta City Academy operations for city letter carriers which included providing the necessary course materials required for training. I assisted with making sure newly hired city carriers completed a 4 day training class prior to reporting to their various assigned work locations.
