My dream is to work in the medical world. For humans & animals. I started in high school taking college level classes at Beattie Career Tech School. That’s where I learned all my medical terminology and a lot more at. Then I went to CCAC to continue that path. Like a lot of people, I had a bump dealing with personal issues. Then had a blessing and had a beautiful baby girl. So I took a break and focused on being a mother. Now I’m going back to school and want to have a job preferably in the medical field but if I can’t then that’s fine too. We all have to start somewhere. I love being a stay at home mother, but I want to pursue my dream :)

I was a caretaker for the elderly at a nursing home. There were two units I worked on. One was for older people who were more independent I just cleaned up their rooms, bed beds, laundry, etc & I passed out medication. I took classes online and was certified to pass meds. The second unit was a lockdown unit for elderly people who had dementia and other disabilities. They were unable to take care of themselves at all. I had to feed, bath and do completely everything to care for them. I also did pass meds on that unit too. They needed help going to the bathroom, they couldn’t wipe, they were completely incompetent.
