For 35+ years, I worked in a fast-paced environment, one in which excellence in your process was required. What I learned about myself during that time is that I can adjust to almost any circumstance, that I am very dependable and that I can fit in with any group of people, and work well within that group. I learned the importance of punctuality, that attention to details was critical, and that there is always room for improvement.

My job description was to:

Find deforms in stamped steel and aluminum parts; handwork the deforms to eliminate them; travel to various departments within the plant to repair deformities; assist in stamping production when required; work as much overtime as required to assure availability of parts for production; stack and assign deformed parts in order of need; maintain list of repaired parts on spreadsheet PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE 09/1985 to 07/2016

Honda Of American Manufacturing

As a production associate, my jobs were numerous throughout the years. I worked in the following departments:

1. Assembly

As part of a large production line, I did jobs that included the installation of various parts, applying sealants and adhesives, shooting bolts and screws, taking torque readings and sub-assembly.

2. Weld

My primary job in weld was the inspection and repair of robotic mig welds, and applying mig weld by hand. I also worked in areas in which different parts were placed into machines and then spot welded. I spent 8 months in weld New Model in which I helped with the planning, development and training of the 2012 Accord major model change. My responsibilities in New Model were: working with a small, select group of associates we worked on individual processes, refined those processes until it could be constantly duplicated in the manufacturing environment, and in the training of all weld associates in the areas designated C-1 and C-2, for both Line 1 and Line 2.

3. Material Service

I began working in Assembly, and my job consisted of the delivery of all types of parts to the Assembly line. This involved the use of a daily delivery schedule designated for each individual route. I had to assure that the correct parts were delivered to the correct locations, and in a timely manner. I drove a tugger/tow motor throughout the plant, while pulling a string of various sized carts. After a few years I was promoted to department DH, a position that required me to fill in on any route at any time. After 6 months the position was eliminated and I was relocated to delivery in Weld.

In Weld I had the same responsibilities as Assembly as far as reading a delivery schedule and delivering the right parts to the right location. I also learned how to de-van a trailer using a forklift and how to set up delivery pulls for the delivery associates.

After about two years I was promoted to area DH, which was essentially a reserve Team Leader. When our TL was unavailable, I was responsible for assigning delivery routes, maintaining contact with Weld associates regarding the flow of parts, adjusting deliveries with Weld pace, calculating cutoffs for daily shifts, tracking and ordering "hot parts" from the warehouse and the delivery of those parts to the needed location upon arrival.

4. Stamping

In Stamping I was a line inspector for stamped parts. I was responsible for the handling and visual inspection of each part as it came out of the end of the press. The inspection was for cracks, twists and other deformities in the parts before they were stacked and loaded into carts. I also assisted with the changing of work stations as different dies were being set into the press. At the last few years of my time in Stamping, I was part of Quality Control known as "hand work" in which I located and repaired material deforms in the metal. EDUCATION General High School Diploma English, Art, History, Literature 05/1983 Marysville High School, Marysville, OH

AWARDS I received a number of quality awards, including a Plant Manager level award for finding a defect in a fuel tank. I also had perfect attendance for 26 of my 35 years, including the last 18 consecutive years.
