Accomplishments

While at ICS Inc. I was the lead engineer on the Fort Huachuca fiber optic upgrade. This involved running fiber optic cabling and associated transmission equipment for voice and data. to 450 buildings on post. I also led the installation teams that spliced and terminated the fiber and installed and configured the transmission equipment. I led installation teams that installed energy management systems in over 200 Walmart and Sam's clubs throughout the USA. Developed call centers for debt collection companies based on Microsoft Server-based systems using VOIP. I designed and installed the first Multi-modal biometric physical access control system in the ARMY for the Communications Systems Logistics Activity at Fort Huachuca.

While at CACI I was the Lead Engineer for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) and Electronic Security and Surveillance (ESS) systems in Korea. I was C4I SME for the 8th ARMY design Charrette for the new 8th ARMY headquarters at Camp Humphries. I was the Lead Data Architect at PM Biometrics responsible for developing a cloud-based transition for biometrics matching. As Biometrics SME I worked with vendors to build and select the new handheld biometrics capture device which was deployed. We used the IA Laboratory at CACI to run vulnerability testing on the server components used in the biometrics storage and matching used by DoD. This included Microsoft Servers and Red Hat Linux servers. I developed three Laboratory/Test/Collaboration environments at the ARMY Research Laboratory in Adelphi MD. The labs connect to open and secure data networks. This solution involves a robust cloud environment supporting software lifecycle management and testing in real and virtual environments. This includes creating and administering a closed environment to work with DoD partners and contract holders and an open unclassified lab environment to work with foreign national elements. These labs are used to develop software and hardware solutions for the sensor environment. The labs are connected via various routing and cross-domain solutions to various ARMY laboratories and technical partners. The solution includes Amazon Web Services, AZURE and Google Cloud platforms as well as CISCO switches, routers and Access Points to connect to the ARL campus environment. Developed www.sitcore.net for ARL. SITCORE is a virtual software development environment supporting over 2000 researchers, hosted on Amazon Web Services EC2 instances utilizing GitLab, Jenkins, Redmine, Kanboard, Mattermost, and VMware to provide an open virtual software development platform between ARL and educational institution researchers. Built and managed Windows and Linux based servers for data capture and storage. I Administered an Atlassian based environment comprised of Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Trello and Compass to support Agile software development and collaboration. Administered and maintained all servers and workstations for the ARL sensors branch which included Windows, Linux and Apple products. Developed Video Tele-Conference solutions for ARL branches including two interactive video wall systems. Secured network by developing, integrating, and managing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluating systems using vulnerability scans. Implemented Red Hat Linux secure storage solutions for work storage and backup services. Systems were Staged to support mandated DoD security thresholds. Red Hat Satellite was used to deploy the Red Hat servers on the physical and AWS cloud systems.

· At Microhealth LLC I was SME and lead engineer developing a medical simulation prototype which integrates a comprehensive set of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) High Fidelity Patient Simulator, Low Fidelity Patient Simulators, Part Task Trainers, and other commercial items for training specific procedures, implementing available COTS software applications, SDK’s, and in-house application development. The prototype utilizes immersive simulation components like scent generators and speakers to offer the most realistic immersive training environment possible. Additionally, the prototype includes panic buttons for safety, Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras, microphones, IR Illuminators, body cameras and multiple HFPS manikins are used to capture information necessary for an in-depth AAR debriefing. The system incorporates multi-sensory Special Effects (SFX) immersion technology, strategically placed PTZ recording hardware specialized for AAR operations, integrated Environmental Monitoring Command and Control servers (E-MC2), and EMS simulation management platform for streamlined simulation control. System runs in a Wireless data environment allowing the free movement of patient simulators
