Served as a field nurse case manager for workers compensation. Managed the entire continuum of care for injured employees, from injury through return to work. Was responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating injured employees through the medical case management process. Worked as intermediary between carriers, attorneys, medical care providers, employers, and employees to ensure appropriate and cost-effective health care services was provided. More specifically, I traveled to injured workers doctor's appointments and gathered information from the injured worker and the provider.
