Served as a field nurse case manager for workers compensation. Managed the entire continuum of care for injured employees, from injury through return to work. Was responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating injured employees through the medical case management process. Worked as intermediary between carriers, attorneys, medical care providers, employers, and employees to ensure appropriate and cost-effective health care services was provided. As a self-motivated, critical thinker I was skilled in conflict and time management, able to multitask, flexible, and able to analyze information and set achievable goals for the patient.
More specifically, I traveled to injured workers doctor's appointments and gathered information from the injured worker and the provider. Then worked from home and wrote specific and detailed reports for various insurance company adjusters. Called injured workers weekly to obtain updates and/or take care of their needs. Obtained medical records from treating providers. Always kept the adjuster abreast of any important information.

I performed various tasks, which consisted of traveling to injured workers' doctor's appointments and gathering information such as treatment plans, medication regimens, pain levels, current treatments/therapies, and improvements in health/injury.
