Skills & Abilities
MANAGEMENT
• I have worked as a shift manager where I had to delegate tasks to others. Which as a charge nurse I assign my nurse techs to residents, and ensure that care is being provided appropriately. Watch call lights and assist as needed to answer each light. As a manager you job is not only to delegate tasks but to assist the staff with providing resident care. To help to explain ADLs and educate as needed. COMMUNICATION
• I am able to communicate well with others. I am willing to learn from others and apply new information each day. I believe that by working together we can learn from each other to do what is best for our residents as well as our company. Communication is not only speaking it is listening as well.
LEADERSHIP
• As a leader you need to be able to explain to your staff your expectations. To be consistent with what you ask of your staff and of yourself. To take your knowledge and share with others, as well as be willing to take what others may bring to the table and utilize all information. I believe your need to rely on your staff as much as they do on you.
