Supervisor Brent Stevenson

Lochmandy Motors Elkhart, Indiana November 2010 - September 2016 Facility maintenance supervisor

● Maintain facilities equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, repairing or replacing faulty or inoperative, components and parts; supervising staff and outside contractors. Work with other department managers to identify problems and requirements for their equipment and systems.Help to identify safety issues that might arise when implementing new equipment and help to maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Responsible for planning and develop budgets for new improvements for facility. Help staff with troubleshooting and responsible for training staff on technical understanding of equipment.

● 9 months after starting a problem arose while having one of their airport sales. They typically would assemble 7 or 8 rv s running off of portable generators which was not reliable for running electronics for conducting a car sale. The generators had to be constantly filled with fuel and would feed each individual rv unit with power, the generators failed mechanically at times shutting sales down and customers walking away and losing a sale. After that sale I spoke to my GM about running electricity to the rv s feed from a 200 amp panel, only thing was there wasn’t a 200 amp panel only a ground transformer 600 feet away. Mind you this is at a city owned airport, so it would require working with them, they allowed us to install a 200 amp panel next to the transformer, and from there we trenched 600 feet putting 4/0 conductors under ground to a 200 amp sub panel mounted to a trailer with all the electrical components on it, so when the sale was over we could just unhook the trailer and leave after the sale. We have used this system for the last 5 years without issue or loss of any sales.

● I was given responsibility at the end of 2012 and beginning of 2013 for rehabbing a building for a pre owned car dealership was given a month to do so with short notice, i met my deadline on that project and was quickly given another project for a new commercial paint shop painting rv s and parts. Our company has body vb shops as one of our core businesses, and with the rv industry ramping up we got into painting them. This would be something on a larger scale that we were used to doing, going from painting cars to painting rv s which are much taller and longer requiring large paint booths. We located some booths in Oregon and it was decided those booths would work for us, so I went to inspect them for the company and came back and let my GM know we should purchase them, and the booths will work for what we need to do. Within a week I drove out to Oregon with a few workers to disassemble the booths and put them on 3 semi trucks and have them shipped back to Indiana. These booths that we went and got where very large 55 feet long, 16 feet wide and 14 feet tall. When I got back to Indiana I was put in charge of setting up the paint facility designing parts racks, building the paint booths, and purchasing and installing all equipment for the facility. The plant was up and painting after 5 months.
