• Identify, interpret, and apply medical standards on all physical examinations in accordance with the MSD, DAFMAN 48-123, and the USAF Aeromedical Waiver Guide.

• Perform and ensure accurate data entries in the PEPP.

• Perform and ensure accurate data entries in the AIMWTS.

• Prior to each scheduled flying candidate medical appointment, accomplish a pre-screening review of all medical documents for disqualifying conditions in accordance with the MSD and DAFMAN 48-123 to either justify necessary specialty referral appointments during the week of the exam or cancellation prior to appointment after consulting the flight surgeon.

• Perform quality review on all flying physical exams to ensure physical accuracy and completion and brief patients prior to release.

• Ensure appropriate follow-up, specialty clinic evaluations, and any supporting documents have been uploaded into PEPP.

• Perform quality review of original examination folders, PEPP, and applicable AIMWTS entries prior to forwarding completed examinations to the physician for final electronic review.

• Regularly track and document examination processing dates from MFS medical/dental technicians to physician and senior reviewers.

• Track and document exam start dates, and at each date in the internal MFS Branch process, prior to and including the date examinations are electronically forwarded to certification and waiver authority.

• Provide quality analysis confirming the accuracy and administrative completeness of all physical exams information completed in PEPP and AIMWTS by all MFS medical technicians (including dental technicians).

• Input all personal data and information required to identify and complete each physical examination.

• Perform and record vital signs and anthropometric measurements.

• Order and record blood, urine specimens, and other laboratory tests as required to complete the physical examination.

• Enter and use the existing computer systems designed for these procedures (Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application [AHLTA] and/or Composite Health Care System [CHCS]).

• Order and record radiographic examinations (to include x-ray, US, CT, and MRI) required to complete the physical exams.

• Perform and record all paraprofessional screening examinations required to complete the physical exams.

• Perform and record audiometric testing.

• Record results of 12-lead electrocardiogram and other cardiopulmonary tests/exams as required.

• Interpret medical standards relative to each case and record MFS examination information within the MFS Web Interface.

• Ensure accurate patient demographics entry to the FAA Med Xpress website.

• Perform quality review on all FAA examinations.

• Responsible for mailing FAA medical certificates.

• Coordinate specialty clinic evaluations for patients with questionable medical conditions.

• Arrange transportation and lodging accommodations as needed.

• Coordinate anthropometric appointments.

• Responsible for monitoring and restocking of medical supplies.

• Perform in-processing/orientation, medical, and out-processing briefings.

• Accomplish routine assessment of each examination to verify that exam type matches MAJCOM requests for proper flying training medical qualification.

• Observe re-measurement on all questionable anthropometric measurements.
