With Visual Impairments, including the development and implementation of curriculum in such areas

mobility; social interaction skills; independent living skills, recreation and leisure skills; career
education; technology; and visual efficiency skills. Provided appropriate and timely adaptation of
instructional materials, conducted Functional Vision/Learning Media Assessments to determine
student needs, wrote and implemented Individual Education Plans based on the latter. Conducted

appropriate goals and testing accommodations. Determined needed adaptive equipment, obtaining some at no cost
to the District. Transcribed materials into large print. Developed adaptive materials, modified curriculum as
needed, and provided academic support. Assisted in transition planning, serving as liaison to other agencies and
schools. Gave presentations on blindness and visual impairments to regular and special education classes of all
grade levels. Took charge of all aspects of the District's audio library: processed, filled, and catalogued requests;
hired and trained needed personnel; operated and provided training for both the Reading Edge and tape dubbing
