Started as entry level Operations Support/ dispatch and quickly moved up to Operations support supervisor by the end of my first year. I then got the opportunity to be the Fleet Manager’s assistant for a summer, o season from snow removal. I accepted and worked with the Fleet Manager for about 6 months before returning to my supervisor position for the winter. Where I was in charge of training, and supervising our dispatchers, working over nights answering the phone for breakdowns and logging them appropriately, and clocking in the drivers, making sure they were being timely on sites. As the Fleet manager's assistant I was in charge of getting our equipment to and from vendors, ordering parts for our fleet.I was in charge of our truck drivers and logistically mapping out where to send them as our trucks were ready from chassis work. I was in charge of dispatching truck drivers to customers in a timely fashion. I took in Emergency calls for the police, and handled accident calls to get disabled vehicles out of the road with a 20 min turnaround time no matter what. I took in high volume calls during the winter season as vehicles had gotten stuck or in accidents.
