Gemini is one of the most critical applications which supports the Entry Capacity, Exit Capacity and Energy Bal- ancing and associated invoicing activities undertaken by Shippers, National Grid O&T and xoserve. The existing versions of database and primary application software have already run out of vendor support or on the verge of vendor de-support. This is a critical issue for xoserve as failures associated with Gemini application software can have significant impact on the xoserve business operations. To minimize/mitigate the risk to xoserve busi- ness operations, there is a need for upgrading the existing Oracle 9i stack to Oracle 10g and other relevant products. This project aims to help xoserve in mitigating the risk of running the Gemini application on unsup- ported version of the software stack.
