SUMMARY

I am looking to obtain a promising and challenging career in machining. I have 13 years of manufacturing experience of which 6 are in tool and die. I want to work for a reputable company in which I can use my existing skill set as well as continuing to learn. I operated several surface grinders including three Brown and Sharp, a Mattison, and a Blanchard.

I repair injection molds and perform preventative maintenance.

I drill and tap holes in components, using industrial drill presses as well as manual mills (Bridgeport).

I run the manual lathe, cutting tooling to specifications according to the blueprints, as well as shaping components in a manual mill, then grinding a finish surface with the surface grinder.

I have ample experience with pneumatic grinders.

12/2013 to 08/2017 Machinist

American Axle -Columbus, IN

I cleaned and polished/repaired tooling (consisting of round forging dies approximately 12" X 6") coming out of the presses at change-over. This would include individual die components as well as complete die sets (which would include top and bottom dies from four different stations, and knockout pins).

I welded (mostly TIG) tooling and cut in the manual lathe to blueprint specification. This would include ECR (Engineering changes) as well as new die development.

I cut vents in dies and drilled out jammed bolts on a manual mill.

I have a working knowledge of basic measurement equipment.
