After sixteen years of teaching experience, I decided to leave teaching and return to my true passion of working with animals. I currently work part-time at a local hospitality pet store and previously worked at my local town vet clinic for over a year, acting as a receptionist, caretaker, and vet assistant as needed. College took me away from this job, but I never forgot the fulfillment I felt when I was working there with the animals. I feel this opportunity working with the American Kennel Club as the Public Education Coordinator would allow me to blend my two passions of teaching/education and working with all breeds of canines into an exciting and fulfilling career.
