I conduct research and develop curriculum when references and materials are nonexistent, obsolete, or unorganized. I serve as a technical expert involving compliance activities and law enforcement and physical security methods and techniques in order to revise and conduct advanced level courses. I am responsible for modifying law enforcement training and physical security program instructional materials and techniques which may entail developing and applying new law enforcement and/or security related curriculums, program methods, approaches, and technologies.

I am responsible for classroom supervision and evaluation of students enrolled in resident and nonresident training programs. I resolve issues pertaining to the content of the curriculum or method of instruction which may come across functional areas and require considerable coordination throughout FPS. I interact with the headquarters and senior management in order to obtain full cooperation/ support when planning or incorporating new concepts and approaches to law enforcement and security training. I submit course material revisions or recommendations to the appropriate authority for review and approval. I review and analyze training programs for effectiveness and integration with agency plans. I serve as an authoritative consultant in planning and developing training programs and evaluating the results based on student feedback and surveys. Resolves challenges and responds to inquiries regarding the coursework or law enforcement techniques that may result in setting a precedent or amending current FPS training instructions. Recommends and establishes training requirements based on current laws, regulations, agency demands or objectives, and emerging techniques and methods.

As an Inspector with the Federal Protective Service, I perform law enforcement duties under title 40 US Code, Section 1315. I serve on the Facility Security Committees as an FPS representative by providing guidance on physical security, investigations, and law enforcement. I ensure overall work products based on operational and organizational goals. I plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor my area of responsibility based on organizational goals and/or milestones. I am assigned to train and evaluate Inspector Trainees during the course of the Field Training Evaluation Program(FTEP).
