Former Liberty Mutual employee, where I was employed in the claims department from May 20th, 1985, until retirement on December 31, 2021. After retiring from Liberty Mutual, I secured employment with Pro-Unlimited (Contracted by Liberty Mutual) from Jan 10, 2022, until June 30, 2022. During my career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, I provided solid leadership, demonstrated analytical assessments, decision making, and problem-solving skills. I held many positions with Liberty Mutual during my 37-year tenure: BI Claims Adjuster, BI Technical Claims Specialist, Litigation Manager for the State of NJ, handling commercial market claims, personal market claims, and No-Fault Supervisor. As a supervisor, my teams delivered positive results, consistently meeting and or exceeding key operational objectives, while paying what we owed.

Pro-Unlimited – Jan 2022 to June 2022

Independent contractor

• Liberty Mutual offered early retirement to anyone employed with Liberty Mutual for 10 years, and 55 YRS old.

• I accepted the retirement package. I was scheduled to be retired as of June 2021.

• But due to staffing issues, Liberty Mutual requested I delay my retirement until 12-31-21.

• Then I was requested by Liberty Mutual to work with Pro-Unlimited as a contractor, continuing to handle Liberty Mutual orphan files, handling a case load of 300+ files, with a heavy emphasis on cases scheduled for arbitration or trial.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Marlton, NJ

SR Claims Adjuster II: (2011 – 2021)

• Initially worked in a dedicated NJ State UM/UIM team, handling complex coverage issues, investigating UM/UIM claims (liability, and damages), and handling claims to their conclusion.

• The team was then consolidated into a Complex Team with minimum reserves of $100,000.00. Cases on assignment included complex coverage issues, bad faith cases against Liberty Mutual and employees, with case values between $100,000.00 to multi-million dollars.

• On a regular basis, I conferenced cases with SR Management, VP and President of company providing status update of case or seeking authority to settle case. Field Team Manager: (2009 – 2011):

• Managed a minimum of 10 field investigators, guiding FI’s during their outside investigation.

• Did monthly share days with them.

Demonstrable Team Manager: (2003- 2009):

• Managed a team handling high-risk demonstrable injuries, non-litigated and litigated cases, ensuring effective coverage, liability and damages investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims.

• Case values between 0 to multi-million dollars

Litigation Manager for State of NJ (2000- 2003):

• Monitored and set yearly budget for NJ Litigation expenses; Managed team of 6 to 10 employees handling litigation cases to conclusion.

• Worked closely with Liberty Mutual in-house Resident Attorney and outside counsel, setting key objectives, hourly rates, and yearly performance reviews.

• Conducted claim/legal file reviews/audits. Had many cases go to trial, with many favorable results. Team Manager I and II: 2000 – 2011:

• The Marlton Office, to which I was assigned, strictly handled BI, PD and PIP Personal Market claims.

• I managed a minimum of 6 to 10 employees, ensuring the effective coverage, liability and damages investigation, evaluation, and resolution of both non-litigated and litigated claims.

• I was responsible for training and directing adjusters’ activity. Reserves and settlements ranged from 0 to multi-million dollars.

• Effectively communicated performance and operational objectives to staff, changes in operational protocols and procedures, managed implementation of technology changes, and when warranted, handled performance management sessions, with some resulting in termination. Claims Supervisor, Team Manager I and II: 1988- 2000:

• Managed a split desk: Personal Market claims and Commercial claims (BI, PD and PIP).

• Managed a minimum of 10 employees between BI and PIP desk.

• Continued to handle major commercial clients and attended quarterly meetings with policyholders. Adjuster, Sr. Adjuster, and Technical Claims Specialist: 1985 to 1988

• Handled personal auto BI and PD claims, Homeowners, and commercial claims.

• Major commercial accounts I handled included: UPS, Turners Construction, Henkel’s and McCoy, major retail stores and restaurants.

• Attended monthly, quarterly claim reviews with these corporate clients discussing cases and daily issues. Job description also included: Handled complex cases, which included complicated coverage issues, investigated liability and damages, negotiated files, attended court conferences, attended depositions, arbitrations and monitored trials.

• Participated in claim audits of offices in the Mid-Atlantic region. Education:
