Professional summary:

I am a recent graduate from Quinsigamond Community College with an Associate Degree in Science, Nurse Education, currently working as an RN in UMass Memorial Hospital. In my current role I utilize the nursing process in caring for patients from admission to discharge. I have the opportunity to care for post-surgical patients, patients with tracheostomy, peg tube, IV fluids, medications, and so on. It is my responsibility to integrate general, age-specific, and unit-specific competencies into the care provided in accordance with hospital standards.

I possessed an RN degree from India as well and worked in ICU of Cardiac department. It was a great experience to evaluate and assess the patient's condition(s) to provide post-operative cardiac care in accordance with standard procedure. During this time, I assisted the physician with treatments, procedures, and special tests as directed, performed treatment therapies, and operated equipment in accordance with policy and procedure. Working in a variety of healthcare settings, combined with my work experience, has enabled me to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and become a passionate nurse.
