I am a Physical Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with patients in a wide range of demographics and settings. While I found pediatric care to be the most rewarding, I have enjoyed working with patients of all ages and abilities. I chose physical therapy as a career in order to be able to help others through hands-on, personal attentive care. I enjoy working with people and have a history of good rapport with both patients and fellow staff. I am able to quickly build trust with patients and believe that getting the most out of therapy involves a positive mental state as well as physical care.
I have worked in myriad settings including acute/ICU care in hospitals, cancer clinic, home health, pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehab, schools, and wound healing as well as owning and operating an outpatient clinic which included medical billing, scheduling, referrrals, insurance, evaluations and treatment. Having the ability to travel for work has allowed me to take contract jobs throughout the East Coast of the United States and gain experience in many different aspects of physical therapy. Having worked in a variety of settings has allowed me to be adaptable and efficient in my employment. I have done over 100 continuing education units in the past year in to further my knowledge on a broad array of topics and keep current with the changes in the feild. I am a fast learner and always willing to expand my knowledge. I am a flexible employee who will always bring forth my best effort to attain optimal results for both the patient and the company that I work for. As someone who went back to college in his 30s, I was able to choose a career that I am passionate about and take pride in.
