PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

VP of Operations / Managing Principal

CMT Technical Services (formerly CMT Engineering Laboratories) 2013 to 2022 Among other things, CMT is a construction services management, civil, geotechnical, environmental engineering, and materials testing company headquartered in Salt Lake City with offices in Idaho, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado. CMT was successfully sold to a PE firm in 2021.

Part of the leadership team that helped grow the business from $6.2M in 2013 to $24M+ in 2021, prior to acquisition. This represents a nearly 400% growth rate while also increasing the bottom line by 8%. Post- acquisition, CMT sat at app. $42M+ in gross revenues, which included 2 new acquisitions and organic growth contributors.

Hired by CMT for the purposes of concentrating on smart, strategic growth, expand construction market share in the vertical structure markets, as well as help to establish new construction management systems. Duties included but were not limited to:

Evaluating project blueprints, attending meetings with clients prior to construction to mitigate risks and resolving issues, and providing recommendation to enhance design. o Had oversight of 10-12 Project Managers at any one time for each project.

Coordinating daily logistics and interfacing with external contractors throughout construction. 2

Providing Business Development and client maintenance and interfacing for all service lines offered within the company to obtain strong financial goals.

Providing internal quality Control on construction services and was the liaison between the CMT team and their clients and agents.

Aiding in the creation and monitoring of KPIs that were critical to the success of CMT.

Supporting quality control of construction services and creating solutions to construction problems.

Aiding in the strategic planning and goal setting of CMT.

Providing support to the construction teams, the clients, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers to evaluate and resolve quality and contractability issues.

Responsible for the CMT construction project managers in budgeting, project management, etc. Construction Services GM - Utah / Managing Principal Consolidated Engineering Laboratories (CEL) 1990 to 2013 CEL, now an ATLAS company, is a construction materials testing / special inspection, and geotechnical engineering firm that was headquartered in San Ramon, California with offices in the Intermountain West.

Quickly promoted from Sr. Construction Project Manager to GM to Managing Principal.

Part of construction leadership team that helped CEL grow from $8M in the late ‘90’s to $50M+ in 2013.

Managed the Utah offices and grew the revenue and bottom line by 200% in the first 3 years.

Generated record revenues with the NSA Data Center project.

Worked with the executive construction team with strategic planning and other corporate needs such as creating KPIs and monitoring systems.

Was able to manage through the depression of 2008 through 2010 with record new business and revenue. In addition to Construction Services GM / Management Principal oversight, also tasked with items to include:

Providing Business Development for all service lines offered within the company to obtain company financial goals.

Creating and monitoring annual construction operations budgets. Providing bids and proposals.

Responsible for CEL revenue and P&L performance.

Providing internal Quality Control on all technical and customer service items.

Responsible for all Utah Construction Project Management

Providing support to the entire construction leadership team, the clients, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers to evaluate and resolve quality and contractability issues.

Idaho Testing Engineering and Consulting (ITEC) 1996 to 1999 ITEC was a construction materials testing / special inspection and geotechnical engineering firm that I created in Idaho Falls and later sold in 1999 to MTI, a subsidiary of CEL. Worked with both companies from 1996 through 1999. Was responsible for all duties required to include working with the financial institutions to ensure working capital. Successfully sold the company.
