Mechanical Designer, Contract

Member of a product development team. On this team I work with other designers and engineers in support of project goals. I work on a broad range of components, assemblies and manufacturing processes which include injection molded plastic parts, sheet metal stampings, precision aluminum die castings and machining processes. I create solid models and assemblies, part drawings and bills of material. I am the lead in design reviews with venders in the development process. I have a machine shop background. During life testing procedures I identify and implement design changes by utilizing machine shop tools i.e. lathe and milling machines. I develop fixturing to make modifications in support of design changes.
