Tax Examination Technician Frivolous Filer Dept • Ogden, Utah Recognize indications of tax fraud and frivolous returns; make determinations and use sound judgment concerning taxpayers' data and responses.

Evaluate all available information and take corrective actions, such as audits, credit transfers requests, re- computed tax, and/or penalty and interest.

Performed a variety of miscellaneous tasks involving researching and processing financial documents, reviewing information and determining corrective action on accounts, researching for missing/unclear accounting information and reviewing financial documents submitted for completeness Provided excellent customer service on inbound calls after taxpayer received initial correspondence. While also making outbound calls after receiving incomplete correspondence. Access relevant systems to view and/or update taxpayers' accounts regarding payments received, review status of the case, and/or to make account adjustment.

Gain cooperation of taxpayers by explaining the best options available to resolve the problem or question, mutual interests, and to make sure they understand their responsibilities. Educate taxpayers on action(s) needed to achieve compliance with tax filing/liabilities. Assisted in training new and seasoned employees on new tax laws every year. While also remaining as an OJI throughout the year.
