8/22-present Boar’s Head Resort, Charlottesville, VA – Executive Housekeeper
Manage 39 employees, including assistant executive housekeeper, supervisor, inspectors, housemen, room attendants, and public space. Responsible for 168 rooms, public space, and spa cleaning. We are undergoing a rooms refresh, and I am responsible for stripping rooms and then monitoring the deep clean that follows, both in rooms and hallways. Training staff to reach the Forbes standards to achieve the 4th star. Handle staffing, training, payroll, purchasing, budget and checkbook accounting, and all employee reviews.
4/18-11/21 Skytop Lodge, Skytop, PA - Executive Housekeeper.
Managed 44 employees, including housekeepers, inspectors, public areas, laundry, housepersons, and an assistant Executive Housekeeper. Report to the Rooms Director. Handled staffing, training, payroll, purchasing, budget and checkbook accounting, and all employee reviews. This is an historic hotel, situated on 5,500 acres, and has 4 Diamond status. There are 192 rooms at the property, including suites, cottages, and an Inn. My department is responsible for all the rooms, public areas, and hallways.
9/16-4/18 Gideon Putnam Hotel and Spa, Saratoga Springs, NY - Executive Housekeeper
In charge of 20 employees, including housekeepers, inspectors, supervisor,
laundry and house-persons for this 124 room historic property which is
managed by Delaware North Corporation. Handled purchasing, payroll, hiring and all employee reviews, and coordinated with all departments to ensure a pleasant experience for all of our guests. Reported directly to the General Manager.
11/15-8/16 Hard Rock Hotel, Palm Springs, CA – Executive Housekeeper
In charge of 26 employees, including housekeepers, house-persons, laundry, public areas, and inspectors for this 163 room branded hotel. A new management company took over in June and replaced managers.
2/14- 11/15 Desmond Hotel & Conference Center, Albany, NY – Executive Housekeeper. In charge of 43 employees in Housekeeping and Laundry. This 40 year old, 321 room hotel was the first built near the airport. I supervised scheduling, payroll, hiring, training, disciplining, and special projects. Also, I do all the purchasing for the department, set up purchase orders, and lead the housekeeping team to accomplish the cleaning and maintenance of the guest rooms and public areas. Monitored P&L for the department, and established the budget for the following year. Worked closely with Human Resources in regards to the union, Local 6, and maintained a good relationship with the union.
9/12-2/14 Vail Resorts, Keystone, CO – Executive Housekeeper. Managed and supervised housekeeping department consisting of 25 housekeepers, 3 housemen, and 5 inspectors. Supervised the cleaning and inspection of 265 condominium units ranging in size from studios to four plus bedrooms and baths. Scheduled all employees, inspect units for owner arrivals, and work closely with property managers on renovations and repairs to all rental units. Member of a corporate task force sent to Grand Teton National Park to train housekeeping employees and help open two properties there for the 2013 season consisting of over 500 rooms and cabins in a three week period. Attended job fairs and employment events to interview and hire domestic employees.
