The Haines City plant responsibility for manufacturing thin sets/grouts and distribution in the central to south Florida market. Directed planning, purchasing. production, maintenance, inventory, warehouse and receiving operations. In addition, the production and operation of sand drying. Directed a two-supervisor staff with 27 direct reports and a yearly budget over $2,400,000.

Safety record of “0” OSHA incidents for 1 plus years without a recordable incident.

Led team adaptation to acquisition with product introduction, equipment upgrades, and culture change of management.

Managed annual sales of 16M by working closely with sales and providing guidance to team in achieving goals.

Directed a two-production leads staff with 75 direct reports.

Developed plan to staff the assembly team with qualified candidates. Reducing turnover by 5%

Prepared a succession plan for production supervisor and initiated training for Plant management. I was offered a position at the Fredericksburg VA for Plant Management.

Facilitated lean implementation. Presented KATA, 8 waste – TIM WOODS. Team presented a dynamic scheduling process for saws where materials from 3 saws cut simultaneously.

Boral Roofing – Lake Wales, Fl.

Boral Roofing is a manufacturer of concrete roof tiles. The Lake Wales plant was responsible for manufacturing of concrete roof tiles and distribution in the Florida market. Supervised safety, quality, and production. Directed a two-production leads staff with 30 direct reports. Multi shift 24/7 operation.

10 months of “0” recordable injuries, reduced quality claims by 50%, and improved production metrics from 70% to 84%.

Developed a recruitment process of all entry level temporary staffing, working in collaboration with 2 staffing agencies. Delegated and managed the on-boarding orientation to include safety expectations and company guidelines.

Identified and created a planned scheduled to rotated employee work schedules from a 6-day work week to a 4-day week.

Del Monte Foods, Inc (trading as Del Monte Foods) is a North American food production and distribution company. The Plant City Plant was responsible for manufacturing and distributing fresh produce to the central Fl. Region. Analyzed the performance of staff and presented recommendations.

Presented a workforce schedule for approximately 150 associates maintaining 5% overtime.

Created standard operating procedure for Implementing Produce Pro ERP for inventory management.

• Developed a step-by-step operating manual in Spanish for training machine operators.

• Conducted a gap analysis for the re-pack processes identifying waste. Improved material yields from 24% to 37% and efficiency from 44 to 63 PPMH.

•Provided training in conflict resolution with peers. Present a positive approach to conflict resolution, employee improvement plan, and scheduling PTO flexibility.

Mainstream Engineering Corporation - Rockledge, Fl.

Mainstream Engineering® is a thermal control and energy conversion R&D-based manufacturer. The Rockledge facility was responsible for manufacturing and distributing HVAC and military products.

•Introduced PFEP and Kanban in manufacturing. Facilitated a Kaizen in 5’s to improve material warehousing.

•Led by example by learning and training to operate equipment; CNC milling machine, plastic mold injector, pressurized and gravity feed chemical filling line, and blister packaging.

•Led Continuous Improvement project for a quality issue of leaking bottles. Identified testing equipment and requirements, documented set-up parameters, and Initiated SPC inspection.

•Designed and installed an assembly line to produce refrigeration units. Selected conveyor swivel stations, tools, parts cart, pressure testing and refrigerant filling. Completed 1st build in 8-man hours.

•Coordinated the repair of the Newbury Mold Injector. Trained with technician to set-up changeovers. Results: Reduced set-up time from 24 to hours.

• 54% decrease of month end inventory from $650,000 to $300,000.
