Independent Research - Bio 395: Bacterial Bioengineering:

- School Year 2021-2022: Analyzed the affinity between newly created alternative degradation tags and the unfoldase ClpX towards the development of a broad specificity protein fingerprinter to be used in a clinical setting in the near future. This involved designing and cloning alternative ssrA degradation tags for use in an E. Coli GFP degradation assay, performing the assay itself, and interpreting the results. After learning the protocol, all of the research is done independently and proactively without fail, with a minimum of 15 hours a week. Received Research Credit, and it is expected to be published in near future

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Residential Advisor (Spring 2022-Present)

- Responsible for leading a group of students through organic chemistry problems every week to guide them through the course. This includes having tutoring sessions, office hours, and being a mentor-like role model for the students throughout the entire semester

- In charge of hosting different campus events such as board game nights, decorating events, bandana giveaways, slime giveaways etc. to help socially transition the incoming freshman class and promote the school spirit uniting the UR community

President for Toys Adaptive Program (2021-Present)

- In charge of organizing club meetings every week and coordinating any events that enable citizens from the greater Rochester community to learn more about adapting toys. The organization is specifically meant for adapting or changing toys so that physically challenged children can use them without difficulty, which are then donated locally.
