In this position, I estimated material and hardware per project, requested quotes from vendors, compared price and deliverability. Then, prepared a report for the owner for review. Based on his approval, I issued purchase orders, making certain each order was noted with the specific project. As items were received, I would compare PO with packing slip, entering information into a tracking system. At the end of each project there was a spreadsheet of cost and profit, to easily compare for future projects. To that end I also managed, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, human resources, incoming calls, as well as walk in customers in various aspects of metal fabrication.
