Underwriting:

● Analyzes underwriting data including verifying income, assets and credit profile meet agency, government, and Non-QM guidelines as applicable. Summarizes observations, and provides recommendations and or training for remediation or procedural changes.

● Analyzing personal and business tax returns with advanced understanding of tax code and business operations.

● Utilizing Encompass Loan Origination System along with all Automated Underwriting ( AUS) platforms and verifying findings and approval messages are documented to meet guidelines.

● Recognizing inconsistencies and red flags for all financials, income, employment, asset, appraisals, title reports, insurance and occupancy fraud.

● Staying informed of guideline changes and updates such as the COVID-19 temporary guidelines.

Quality Control/Compliance Manager:

● Managed a team of 15 members, both on-site and remote, evaluated employee’s performance and recommended promotions or disciplinary action as needed.

● Conduct SAFE Act Audits to ensure all requirements to the SAFE Act regulation are adhered to an annual basis.

● Leads mortgage QC and compliance initiatives and maintains a good working knowledge of the requirements of mortgage origination regulations including but not limited to knowledge of Agency guidelines, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Privacy of Consumer Financial Information, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act

Loan Origination:
