Under the supervision of the Senior Associate Director of the Emergency Medicine Department, responsible for the administrative functions of the Adult, Fast Track, Pediatric ER, and Client Navigators. Exercises independent judgement to plan and coordinate departmental efforts in performance improvement activities while driving standardization of best practices to foster positive patient experiences. Represents the department's director in external contacts with community groups, organizations and agencies Manages patient census, performs registration and clerical duties as needed due to staffing shortages, Ensures compliance manuals are current and procedures arc followed; compliance readiness for JCAHO survey. Prepares monthly reports for the Senior Director that manages data analysis and operational reports to address deficiencies and improve the overall billing and demographic collections during patient intake. Maintains employee files, records and timesheets, ensures quality data management. Trained in Mass Causality Incidents; ensures department is ready and resources arc available for these emergencies.
