Management

I am currently a General Manager for Americas Best, running the day to day operations of the Irondale location, before that I was a lab manager for Lenscrafters in Dover. Before that I was an OM for US Vision for 1 years and was acting DM for the last 7 months in Long Island NY. Before US Vision I was a general manager for National Vision in their America’s best division for 6 years. During which time opened 2 new stores and got them to exceed their budgets and was named runner up manager of the year. Before National Vision, I was an OM for Walmart Vision Center for 3 years.

Sales

While with US Vision as an OM I have helped several stores turn their sales around and made them successful, by helping them connect with their customers, thru outreaching in and out of the club, reaching the invisible patients and just maximizing their transactions by showing them the proper way to lifestyle sell to their customers. While with National Vision I improved sales in my stores every year and only missed my sales goal 3 months out of the 6 years I was with them.

Communication

While with US Vision, I was tapped to be the insurance captain, going to stores and showing the managers and associates how to input insurance orders into the computer. Also was the point person for the stores if they ran into issues while input these orders, so that I could walk them thru it. I also was utilized as an email captain to help improve our districts email capture rate. I was also appointed to be the C.U.R.E. captain for our district before I was given the opportunity to be the acting DM for district 624.

Leadership

As stated previously I have been in various management positions for the last 20 years, most recently as a General Manager, then before that as a lab manager and before that as acting DM for district 624. During which I have hired 2 new OM, 4 new associates, interviewing several more potential candidates for 2 other management positions that were left vacant by the previous DM. The district has responded well to my style of management as they have turned their sale from – 4.3% on the year to +2.4% YTD.

Experience

General Manager Americas Best 03-18-22 To Present

My responsibilities include running the day to day operations of the store, hiring associates, delegating responsibilities to my associates. Coaching and developing my associates to be able to move up in the company. Also acting as the liaison between my DM and the doctor, assuring the doctors schedule is maintained to assure proper patient flow. Making sure the store is acheiving budget and maintaining store supply levels to ensure proper patient care.

Lab Manager l Lenscrafters l 03-26-18 To 01-28-22

My responsibilities include, running the manufacturing lab, inspecting patient's eyewear and dispensing and adjusting that eyewear to the patient. I also had to open and close the store, as well as sell eyewear to patients and managing the retail staff when necessary.

Acting Dm US vision 08-03-17 to 03-12-18

My responsibilities include, running the day to day operations of the district, addressing any customer complaints that may arise and coming up with a resolution. Addressing stores on their performances, both good and bad and devising a plan of action if necessary to how the store was going to improve their performance, and praising stores on their good performances. Conducting weekly conference calls to address the district on any issues that may have arisen over the last week also to address any concerns that the stores may have and passing along important information that has been shared in my conference call with the regional manager.

Optical Manager us vision 12-15to 8-17

My responsibilities while I was an OM for district 625 was to run the day to day operations of my store, ensuring sales goals were made, scheduling associates, addressing customer and associates concerns. I also was the insurance captain for the district, instructing the other stores in the district how to input orders into the I-Logic system. I was also one of the training managers for the district, instructing associates in the MIT program on the day to day operations of the store and how to do the scheduling and other paperwork that the manager does daily, also instructed them how to do corrective actions for associates and when they should use corrective actions.

General manager National vision 4-09 to 12-15

My responsibilities while employed with national vision where to run the day to day operations for the store, making schedules for the store associates, booking the doctor’s appointments, and ensuring sales goals were met daily. Acting as liaison between the doctor and our district manager, providing the district manager with a plan of action when sales were sluggish, hiring and training new associates, as well as developing associates to be able to advance in the company.
