Supplier Management Solutions, Carlsbad, CA - 2019 – Present Position: Director of Quality Operations – Central Region Aerospace Supplier Management services addressing Quality and Delivery issues at major Aerospace OEM (Northrup Grumman, Boeing, Raytheon (Collins Aerospace), Lockheed Martin etc.) suppliers. Working with supply chain to develop effective Corrective Actions to address Quality and Delivery issues.

Responsible for management and training of remote Quality Team deployed throughout USA & Canada to address various Supply Chain issues pertaining to Quality and Delivery performance. Position: Director of Quality (Euless)

Contract Aerospace Machine Shop – One of 3 facilities (including Kansas & Oklahoma) – Primary customer (Euless Facility) Lockheed Martin (F35 Program).

Responsible for local (Euless) Quality Management Program, including focus on reduction of scrap rate to less than 2%. Successful completion of AS9100D Registrar Surveillance Audit. Implementation of Process Audits by Quality vs. Inspection and development of in-process inspection actions by Operators to reduce defect rates to less than 2000 PPM, FPY increased to 99.5% Duties:

Internal Quality Systems Audits (AS9100D), Quality Metric Reporting (FPY, Scrap Rates etc.), Root Cause and Corrective Actions. Process Improvements (Scrap Reduction Process), Response to customer nonconformance findings. Metal Works Mfg., Shelby NC – 2015 – 2018

Multi-site, Multi-Division contract manufacturer of; Large Structural Steel Fabricated components (Rail, Construction, Defense Industries), Customized Aerial Lifts (Aerospace (Boeing, NASA etc.)), Specialized Armored and unarmored vehicles for US Government requirements. Developed and implemented formal Contract Review Process – US Government and other requirements, Implemented QMS for multi- division facilities including successful registration to ISO 9001:2015, Implementation and Development of ERP system to address multi- division organization. Processes included AWS D1.1 structural welding and associated NDT, Laser and Plasma cutting and Forming (Brake Press – up to 2000 Ton), complex vehicle assembly (hydraulics, electrical etc.). Reduced scrap rate to less than 1%, Rework hours reduction to less than 2% of total labor hours, FPY increased to 98.5% Position: Director of Contracts – 2018

Manufacturer of Rough Terrain Container Handling equipment for US Army, USMC and allies.

“Green Field” start-up facility which involved the development of manufacturing processes and supply chain to support vehicle production in less than 1 year. Process improvements included reduction in vehicle assembly time from First Article production of 4000 Hrs. to approximately 400 hrs. per vehicle through Implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles – Kanban Super Markets, Value Stream Mapping etc. as well as defect and rework reduction. Implementation and registration to ISO 9001:2008 in less than 1 year from start-up, First Pass Yield increased to 99.7% (less than 3 defects on average per vehicle), Rework hours less than 1.6% of total assembly hours. Implementation and registration to ISO 14001 approximately 2 Years after first production start.

Position: Vice President of Quality – 2013 to 2015 Duties:

Administration of all Quality Management System elements including policy development consistent with overall business objectives. Responsible for the collection and reporting of all key metrics for Quality, Materials (Logistic Data, Supplier Performance etc.) and Operational activities to Kalmar Corporate. In conjunction with executive staff, responsible for establishing overall budgets and all applicable planning actions required to implement production and sales plans while maintaining Quality Metrics and targets. Responsible for Development and Implementation of Risk Management program for all business activities (Sales, Materials and Operations). Position: Director of Quality – 2012 to 2013

Administration of all Quality Management System elements including policy development consistent with overall business objectives. Direct quality system development at facilities in the United States and Southwest Asia. Work with executive staff to establish performance metrics and reporting mechanisms consistent with overall corporate requirements. Establish management and maintenance of ISO Quality Management systems (9001 & 14001) as well as all compliance requirements with US DoD contract requirements through DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency).

Quality and Test Engineer involved with move of manufacturing Operations from San Antonio Tx. To Monterey Mexico (2006). Transitioned to Supplier Quality to develop Supply chain in Mexico and Asia to support manufacturing operation facility relocation. Reduction in defects to less than 1000 PPM average across all assembly lines, Supplier On Time delivery improved to 98% average for all suppliers. Implemented JIT for local supply base to support Monterey operations.

Position: Supplier Quality Engineer – 2007 to 2008 Duties:

As a member of Supplier Quality Management responsible for support of outsourcing process for previously internally manufactured items

(refrigerant tubing assemblies, stamped metal parts etc.) as well as transitioning purchased materials previously sourced in the United States to Mexico consistent with new manufacturing location in Monterrey Mx. Additionally, responsible for ongoing Supplier Certification program and effective communication of requirements to suppliers as well as requisite supplier capability relative to those requirements. responsible for supplier metrics (PPM failure rates, price performance, on time delivery etc.) and the communication of those metrics throughout the organization and facilitating ongoing improvements relative to those metrics. Position: Senior Quality Engineer / Test Systems Engineer – 2005 to 2007 Duties:

Responsible for the development and administration of all elements of the internal Quality Management System including testing processes, online assembly process quality plans, Scrap Reduction Program administration, Corrective Action process etc. Responsible for development of internal Supplier Quality metrics (line reject rates etc.) and ongoing development of Receiving Inspection process and Supplier Quality program. Additionally, responsible for all Pilot production programs regarding test programs / processes, Unit Qualification requirements, PFMEA processes and all associated control plans.

Position: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer – 2004 to 2005 Duties:

Global responsibility for the Development and implementation of Supplier Certification program for Quality and the development of a Supplier based system for new Part/Product development. Responsible for ensuring effective communication of requirements to suppliers and determining adequacy of supplier capability to consistently meet all specified requirements. Additionally, responsible for development of supplier metrics including price performance indexes, part PPM failure rates etc. Additionally, involved in PPAP and APQP activities as well as providing product technical support to Commodity Team Leaders as part of a Purchasing Department re-organization.
