Strengths
Have studied interface design principals/standards to help with UI/UX design and implementation. This includes implementing Visual Cues for better user interaction, correct control usage and data driven design/navigation. Have also studied the correct use of Metro controls using XAML within the Windows 8.x and Windows 10 environments when it comes working with touch screen gestures.
Have experience in normalizing databases as well as off-loading business logic from the client to the database which has helped produce significant speed improvements, as well as allow the database to handle complex logic so it can be hit from multiple front ends. Windows, Web, Tablet, Phone, etc.
Can come up to speed quickly with knowledge of the specific industry I am working in. This allows me to keep the entire scope of the project in mind during development.
Have worked directly with multiple companies/individuals in the General Contracting/Construction Management/Subcontractor market. Also have strong experience within the following markets. Accounting, Trucking, Transportation, Logistics, Electrical (with Smart Meter tracking), State and Federal Government, and Healthcare (Including EHR, Appointment Scheduling, Medical Diagnosis, Medical Billing, and Medical Database Software).
Due to the fact that PowerBuilder, C# and Visual Basic .NET promote a Rapid Application development style, that has pushed some product development towards an iterative/incremental modified waterfall approach to development as well as the sashimi model which allows for overlapping phases due to the fact that these development tools tend to lend themselves to prototyping which works well with RAD. I’ve also been able to incorporate an Agile development methodology as well as a DevOps deployment methodology that is being used in multiple products within the construction industry. EXPERIENCE
