I specialize in wound care, such as, wound vacs; applying, changing and fixing any errors that may occur. Other wound care has been pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, peripheral arterial disease ulcers, gun shot wounds, stabbings, MVA Wounds with c-spine precautions; I know the treatment for all wounds, what medications and dressings that need to be applied. I Have inserted ng tubes, Foley catheters, and rectal tubes. I monitor, maintain, and discontinued jp drains, ng tubes, Foley catheters, and rectal tubes, PICC lines I, played an intricate role during code blues, such as: crash cart, defibrillator, applying the defibrillator pads, back board, oxygen mask, suction set up, vitals,, while waiting for the doctors, critical care nurse, house supervisor, pharmacy, and transport to arrive.
I care for post op patients, monitor vitals and surgical sites and drains if they have them. care for and monitor chest tube patients, monitor for air leaks and call the doctor if I’m unable to fix the leak if it is caused by the tubing
