Provider Foundational Re-design: This project is about the UCS (MetLife's US Dental Claims Processing System) dental provider data, which currently resides in mainframe VSAM files that were initially designed 35+ years ago, is being migrated to a modern relational database and restructured to better meet the needs of today's business. Additionally, a modern web UI will be built on the DMA platform for the purpose of maintaining this data. Currently, the data is maintained via CICS green screens that were initially designed 35+ years ago. These concurrent initiatives will deliver a solution that better meets the needs of today's US Dental business and significantly reduces the amount of time that is spent (by Provider Operations associates and affiliated vendors) maintaining the dental provider data

This internally developed system is being administered by the Brighthouse Financial BMO group. This application is mostly used by Channel & Division Heads, Account Managers and Sales Desk Associates.

Compliance –

CCM: The Compliance/Compensation/Marketing (CCM) is a data warehouse that contains contract, application, replacement, demographics, rider, loan, dividend, death claim, party, agent and financial transaction details for IB products in force or issued 1/1/2000 or later across all franchises.

SMRS: The Sales Material Review System (SMRS) is a web-based application designed to facilitate the review and approval of all field and corporate-produced sales materials. The SMRS also serves as the primary repository of sales material records for MetLife and affiliated companies.

GPS: The Global Product System database (GPS) is primarily aimed at creating a central repository of all products marketed by MetLife Globally. This database is used to store details of products and track their approval process for pricing and repricing. This allows us to comply with Federal Reserve a requirement that requires documentation standards for financial products, communication and documentation.
