Present Private solo practice attorney with concentration in family law issues, bankruptcy and criminal defense in all Mississippi courts and jurisdictions.

July 1990 – City of Plano, Plano Texas

June 1991 Assigned as Detention Officer for about 6 month and tested into law enforcement officer pipeline. Received training and certification in jail standards through Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (TCLOSE) and then received my law enforcement standards. I left to attend law school.

Sept1979 - United States Navy (Active)

July 1990 A) Active duty commissioned surface warfare officer assigned as Gunnery and Missile Officer and Deck Officer aboard USS Knox (FF-1052). Responsible for care and training of 30 sailors and the material condition and readiness of my division’s manpower, equipment and compartments. Member of the Personal Reliability Program responsible for training and supervising the guard force and for security of special weapons.

B) Assigned as Deck Department Head and Navigator aboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC-19) responsible to the commanding officer for all navigational and sailing plans, safe Navigation and piloting of vessel in restricted maneuvering conditions as required. Supervised approximately three hundred (300) sailors.

C) Assigned as United States Documents Officer to the staff of Commander, Allied Forces Southern Europe(AFSOUTH) - responsible for the controlled dissemination of all United States Secret and Top Secret message traffic, plans and documents throughout the AFSOUTH command and primary subordinate commands in southern NATO region. Liaison duty with various Ministers of Defense (MODs) to plan and coordinate Flag, General Officer, and MOD visitor programs during major NATO subordinate command exercise entitled Display Determination while also pursuing a degree from University of Maryland.

July 1990 – United States Navy (Reserve)

Oct 1999 Assigned to various duties and responsibilities for training and care and advancement opportunities for over 300 reserve sailors assigned to my detachment and units throughout Mississippi and more particularly reserve ships along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico. Attended Law School during this time. Retired at the rank of Commander (O-5).

June 1994 Worked for Jimmy Glenn as a student employee in the security department. Patrolled the campus and handled telephonic inquiries from students regarding matters of security and parking while attending law school.

COMMUNITY Coached youth soccer, basketball, and baseball for various teams as needed for YMCA
