Grants Accounting Processing system
The Grant Account Processing System (GAPS) is designed to enable the department of Education and its various districts and schools to apply for Federal Grants electronically. I was responsible for 60-80% the coding and resulting product.
I subsequently took the major role in the design and implementation of the expansion of the GAPS Application to replace and integrate the CATE Application’s functionality.

I helped to design the underlying data structure model in Viso. The final project was largely my design within the confines of the requirements.
I also played an instrumental role in revising and designing the data structure while helping to document the overall Data structure plan.

Extensive Bug Fixing for Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Grant processing system – CATE
CATE was a Grant processing system for vocational and technical education. The general function of this application was to process Grants specific to its unique requirements. This system was visually similar in both look and function to that of the more generalized Grants accounting processing system, with a few additional features specific to the CATE grant. The biggest difference was the system underlining design and coding standards which were inherited.
Most of my work on this project was resolving pre-existing bugs and occasionally add features.
Responsibilities:
I tracked and repaired numerous bugs, including discovering and fixing some of its most critical failures.
I was largely responsible for the planning the quick reimplementation and partial redesign of CATE so it would work within in my Grants Accounting.
Technologies
•Visual Studio 2012.
•Microsoft Sql management studio and TSQ
•Jquery
•CSS
•ADO.Net Data access layer
