The SES Manager leads the environmental, worker health and safety, sustainability and security systems at the plant and serve as the plant subject matter expert in these fields. This position also provides direction, expertise and leadership to ensure the plant meets local, state, Federal and other regulations / standards (e.g., OSHA, DEP, etc.), Company requirements (e.g., KORE) and certification programs {(e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)} relating to environmental, worker health and safety and sustainability. Develop, implement and maintain effective policies, documents, work instructions and procedure manuals related to the identification, prevention and control of occupational injuries and illnesses and environmental liabilities.

Facilitate the plant’s Risk Assessment Process (e.g., Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Environmental Aspects and Impacts) in order to identify workplace hazards or potential environmental liabilities and minimize / mitigate risks.
Administration of the plant’s medical surveillance programs according to OSHA regulations / standards and Company requirements.
Participate in plant audits and interface with internal and external auditors and regulatory and government agency personnel.
Coordinate and communicate findings of internal and external audits to plant management and ensure items of non-conformance are addressed and corrected according to schedule.
Compile, monitor and analyze accurate worker health and safety, environmental and sustainability metrics / KBIs and routinely review with all levels of the organization to help drive sustained improvement; identify negative trends and implement corrective action plans.
