Called steamship lines/carriers when containers would be ready to pick up, processed the D.O. and dispatch trucker to pick up full container from port and deliver to importer’s warehouse. Followed up with importer when container was empty on tainers that were not “spot deliveries”and if empty sent trucker to get it. I generated spreadsheets of all containers pending pick ups and returns to port to avoid demurrage. Assisted import department with data entry and reports.

Assisted with all export documentation in the traffic department. I also inspected products (QC) to make sure they met the high standards of the firm. I released them to traffic department if each order was complyant with original request by customer, scanned all documents into the storage data system of the company, everything was electronically saved therefore all documents were scanned first. Supply Chain Solutions (third party logistics provider) 06/2013- 3/2014 Handled several accounts distribution and deliveries services. Once shipments were cleared I contacted trucking companies to come and pick up merchandise for big and small accounts. I assisted these accounts with their stock level in our distribution center based in what our CARGO SYSTEM confirmed. I negociated trucking rates for some of our accounts, troubled shoot any issues, did some inventory for some of these accounts. Managed the collection of Powers of Attorny and Sub Powers of Attorny from an extensive list of active customers during a company take over. Learned a new processing system called CARGO WISE where I also processed export and import shipments back to back including AES (customs) filing and billing.
