Improved and maintained gross margins for the products manufactured while reducing product costs by 3% to 5% annually through cost reduction programs and price negotiations with suppliers. Achievements:

Addressed declining gross margins by improving product designs and introducing new lines of drainage and mini access catheters to increase demand. New products contributed $25 million in sales revenue with a 50% gross margin.

Developed new manufacturing facility to upgrade existing operations hampered by obsolesce and hurricane damage. Performed design and layout for a new more efficient manufacturing facility with higher production capability at a site reducing weather risk while retaining key employees. Built a 94,000 sf. manufacturing facility with clean rooms for medical device manufacturing expanding extrusion production capacity by 50% and retaining over 60% of employees and all key staff and managers.

Improved market presence and product margins by developing a line of Guiding Catheters with gross margin over 50% revitalizing the market for the existing product lines, increasing stock value.

Expand production capacity and reduced labor coat by relocating low margin product assembly to Mexico. Established duplicate production capabilities at a contract manufacturing site and moved Angiographic Catheter assembly, packaging and sterilization to Mexico. Reduced manufacturing cost by 40% and freed 50% of existing domestic clean room space for expansion of other products.

Reduced tubing purchase cost by 30% by purchasing a new state of the art extrusion line supplying two to three million feet of medical grade tubing and reducing delivery time from weeks to days. Improved the quality of medical grade tubing while expanding capacity.
