Duties included cable routing, terminations, testing, inventory control and warehouse management. Also responsible for all inventory aspects of the project ranging from the electrical portion to the data communication side.

Responsible for project development, budgeting, planning and tracking by utilizing Primavera software parameters for project scope of work (SOW) planning, work breakdown structure (WBS), activities, resource loads and cost loads. Provided periodic budget reviews for ongoing projects to evaluate cost controls.

Managed local contractors on overseas projects ensuring that their contract obligations were being fulfilled. Provided administrative, survey and design support; installation team coordination (on-site and travel) of cleared U.S. personnel; BOM generation, procurement, CRP secure warehouse management, crating, packing and shipping aspects; field installation, after action reports, budget review and project as-builts. Project manager for the technical portion of a central alarm security system contract with the Mexican Government. Project scope entailed 35 separate sites around the country whose alarms were electronically signaled back to a 24/7 central monitoring location in Mexico City via telephone lines. The security system consisted of intrusion detection, door control, cameras and physical barriers.

Duties included setting up an engineering department including drafting, secretarial, technical, and engineering and installation support for the contract. Responsible for the design, customer acceptance, planning, tracking, installation and evaluation, training, budgeting, implementation and maintenance of the entire central alarm system.

Design Engineer and Field Installations 1991-1994

Interlog, Inc.

Worked as the Design Engineer for fire alarm detection and safety systems for the US Department of State’s OBO/FIR program on US government buildings overseas. Designs were accomplished as per NFPA specifications and guidelines and included

integration of emergency exits. Initiated new installation features such as elevator recall and HVAC shutdown and/or reversal.

Duties included survey and design, BOM ordering, equipment specifications (low and high voltage power) and coordination and training of teams in the field. Also was cross utilized and performed maintenance on some systems including sprinklers. Project sites included Stockholm, Reykjavik, New Delhi, Copenhagen, Seoul, Tel Aviv, Guatemala City, Panama City, Dakar, Poznan, Bonn, Warsaw, Tunis and Nouakchott.

Team Leader – Field Installations 1985-1991

Worked as a team leader on Diplomatic Security contracts for the installation of anti-terrorist security systems and classified LAN systems and their related power distribution systems. Also performed the same function for the installation of fire detection systems for the US Department of State’s FBO/FIRE program world-wide. Managed installation teams ranging from 4 to 15 people.
