Career Objective
Obtaining a position which would give me the opportunity to share what I have learned over the last 30+ years of studying English Language Arts. This consistent immersion in the discipline of English has helped me to develop both an academic and relevant understanding of a plethora of literary works, both contemporary and classic, and the accompanying themes, motifs, schemes, tropes, etc. involved in such pieces: hero archetypes, tragic heroes, epics, medieval romances, gothics, epistolaries, etc. I have also had ample opportunity to hone my writing skills. I am intimately familiar with the process necessary to produce good writing from the pre-planning stage through the publishing stage, and I would love the opportunity to apply these skills in a new realm or profession.

Skills
I have been an English Language Arts teacher for 27+ years (since the 95-96 school year until the present). This means that I have strong verbal and written communication, reading, word-crafting, proofreading, and editing and revising skills. A large part of my job is centered around organizing and designing lessons and assessments that focus on specific skills driven by a centralized curriculum document, so my goal-setting and goal-achieving experience is pretty extensive. I am also comfortable in a supervisory position and an excellent motivator. Navigating digital platforms for the sake of data collection and production is also a part of my skill set. Working makes me happy especially if there is any kind of creative aspect to the task for which I am responsible, but specialized and technical tasks can also keep me focused and interested. Conscientiousness is an innate characteristic of mine, and anyone that I work for usually recognizes that doing a good job is important to me. These qualities along with my naturally friendly and amiable disposition make me a good employee.
